Google has come up with many different services and one among such popular service is Google play store. It is a popular digital and multimedia service content distribution channels which incorporate an online store for books, music, movies, games, a cloud media player, an Android app store and other specialty applications. Google Play is accessible from most Android and Google TV devices. Initially it is called as Android Market and in 2012 the new Google Play Store came up with many new features.  After joining the Android Market and Google Music services, Google has completely changed its digital distribution strategy and created a one single platform named Google Play.

  • Open any web browser and type play.google.com
  • It will open a Google play store with various options
  • One the top right corner you will find sign in button, click on it
  • It will open a sign page
  • If you already have a Google account, type the Email address and password and click on sign in.
  • If you don’t have a Google account, click on create an account.
  • Gmail.com sign up form will appear on the screen and you will need to enter some personal information such as First and last name, your username, password, Date of Birth date, Gender and phone number.
  • Review and accept Google’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
  • Finally, click on Next step button and you will be asked to complete your user profile and confirm you Gmail via using the conformation code sent to your mobile number.

How to Create Google Account play store on android device?

  • Open Google play store in your mobile
  • It will ask to add a Google Account, below you find do you want to add an existing account or create a new one?
  • If you want to create one, click on new button below.
  • Now enter some personal information such as First and last name, your username, password and a recovery information.
  • Next it will ask to set up credit card information, if want click on it and fill full the details provide or else click on not now.
  • Accept the terms and conditions of Google Play store
  • Now your account is created
  • If you already have a Google Account, click on existing button and sign in using your Email id and password.

First conform the app you want to download and there are different ways to search apps on Google play store. You can search apps through app categories, Google Play’s  Top Charts or you can directly search by just typing the app name in search box and click on Install.

  • Click on the white search bar at the top of the screen.
  • Enter the name of the app you’re looking for.

Search Apps using Google Play’s Top Charts: 

You can find the apps you want to install using your Google Play’s Top Charts which will be displayed when you open the play store.

  • Click on the Google Play icon on your home screen.
  • Click on Apps & games to ensure you’re on the app side of the store.
  • Below Apps & games, click on Top Charts.
  • It will display various apps with different categories.
  • Swipe left and right between the charts where you will find Top Free, Top Paid, Top Grossing, Top New Free, Top New Paid and Trending.
  • Select one among them and search for the app you want to download or install.

Search Apps using Google Play by category:

  • Click on the Google Play icon on your home screen.
  • Click on Apps & games to ensure you’re on the app side of the store.
  • Below Apps & games, tap Categories.
  • Click on the category you’d like to browse.

Once you find the app you are searching for, now it’s time to install or download the app. In the Google play store you will find some app’s which are for free and some other app’s are to be purchased to use them (paid apps).

  • Click on the Google Play icon on your home screen
  • Enter the app name in the search results or search using categories.
  • It will open App results you are searching for.
  • Below or by side of App it will show whether it is for free or you need to purchase it.
  • If it is free, Click on it
  • Now read through the app’s description and reviews to ensure the app seems right for you.
  • Click on Install.

It takes few seconds to download the app and before downloading the app you need to agree to the app’s permissions. Once the app installation completed, an Open button will appear click on it and now you can use the app and make necessary changes you want.

How to download or Install paid apps / How to purchase paid apps?

Purchasing an app in Google play store takes some time and it’s quite easy. Just follow these step by step processes.

  • Click on the Google Play icon on your home screen
  • Enter the app name in the search results or search using categories.
  • It will open App results you are searching for.
  • Below or by side of App it will show whether it is for free or you need to purchase it
  • If it is a purchased app, click on the price 
  • It will show your default payment method. If you want to change your payment method, just click on the down arrow which is next to your current payment method.
  • Tap Payment methods you want.
  • If you don’t have one, you’ll be prompted to add a credit card, PayPal account, or carrier billing.
  • Tap Buy.
  • Confirm your Google Play password.
  • The payment is processed and once it done it will show payment successful. 
  • Tap Continue to close the window
  • Finally click on install
  • It starts downloading, once it is done click on Open

How to Update the Play Store apps?

Generally Google will always keep updating the Play Store apps and one need not worry to how to find updates. You use simple do it manually or use an auto-update option which will automatically update the latest versions. 

How to manually update your apps on Play store?

  • Click on the Google Play icon on your home screen
  • Towards the left side you will find a three line menu icon, click on it and will open the menu.
  • Now, Click on My apps & games.
  • All the apps which need to be updated will appear at the top of the list. 
  • If you just want to update a single app, click the app you want to update. (Before updating a new version if there are any new permissions carefully read them before clicking on Accept button).
  • If you simply want to update everything, just click on Update All 

How to auto-update your apps on Play store?

  • Click on the Google Play icon on your home screen
  • Towards the left side you will find a three line menu icon, click on it and will open the menu.
  • Scroll down, Click on Settings 
  • Click on Auto-update apps.

If you change your mind and want to remove auto-update potion, following the same steps and just Click on Auto-update apps and select do no auto-update apps
